More than 20 staff of the Judiciary have undergone a two-day training on Protocol and Events management at the Mestil Hotel in Kampala.

The training which is a first of its kind was organized by the Judicial Training Institute (JTI) with facilitators from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Registrar, Judicial Training Institute, HW Mary Kaitesi, said the training was organized to equip the participants with protocol compliance and etiquette requirements in the new Judiciary.

"I have reviewed the line-up topics for the two days' training and I must say that it looks rich and we shall definitely leave here much better people," the Permanent Secretary said.

The topics that were covered included; Protocol and Etiquette, Introduction to International Protocol, Applications of Protocol and Reputation Management, Public Diplomacy and Media, Introduction to cultural diplomacy, and the characteristics of a good Protocol Officer, among others.
